Registered Architect

SMSA Architects is seeking a Registered Architect to join our team.

​

Our office is seeking an individual passionate for the profession of Architecture & Design, with a solid understanding of building science, as well as in-field construction knowledge of design details. While talent is desired, the candidate shall also exhibit a passion to efficiently learn and harvest evolving design.

 

  • Applying individual shall encompass a well-rounded & exceptional sense of design and ability to visualize & comprehend concepts in three dimensional views from paper, to computer, to construction.

  • Individual shall exhibit a professional manner of communication & collaboration with firm team members, sub-consultants, and clients. Selected candidates are expected to consistently be accountable & prepared, as well as represent the company in a professional & respectable manner.

  • Demonstrate an eye for presentation & graphic skills with strong verbal communication skills to clearly communicate ideas & design with firm team members, consultants, and most important, clients.

  • Preferred candidates shall encompass the comprehension of projects from the ground up, including involved systems and trades. A desire to develop skills & knowledge is admired and encouraged.

  • Punctuality and a thoroughness of organization throughout projects and the office environment is required upon all team members. Ability to produce thorough and comprehensive Process & Construction Documents.

  • Possess Time Management skills to balance office deadlines through independent self-directed and collaborative work.

  • Shall express courtesy and empathy, & among all else, be thoughtful of the wellness of others, design, & the environment.

  • Comprehension & proficiency of user interfaces within programs including Autodesk – AutoCAD & Revit. Additional programs a bonus.

 

Requirements for Application:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture

  • 5 years of Professional Experience

  • Introduction Letter
